Afternoon School Club

The activities taking place in the afternoon compose the School Club; students who wish to participate register in the fall and attend throughout the academic year. In the 2012/13 school year, children can choose from over 10 activities, focused on sports, art, or other areas. Some activities are in English, which children can attend for free. The activities that sometimes work in cooperation with other organizations require a registration fee (1-20 EUR/month). The activities offered vary yearly and are adjusted according to the children’s and school’s interests.

 Róbert Tatár Art School

Narnia Elementary School and R. Tatár Art School share the same building, including shared facilities linking the adjacent schools. Students enrolled in Narnia Elementary School have the option of attending afternoon activities at Narnia as well as activities at the art school including: music, dance, fine art, literature and drama.

In the first grade, students at Narnia Elementary School have the opportunity to enroll in each of the four types of activities without paying the fee. This option is made possible through the cooperation of Narnia and the art school via the Creative English project.
The RT Art school bends to the needs of the Narnia musical practices as much as possible. The students enrolled in the optional music activities practice the songs for the English musical. Additionally, students at fine art activities create sets for the musicals, students at dance activities learn to master particular rhythmical steps, and students at literature and drama activities learn to prepare the dramatization of the story itself. Students learn and understand all of these devices through games, singing, drawing, dancing and other activities that would have all been part of the school club anyway.
