Enrollment

Accepting 1st Grade Students

Are you interested in enrolling your child in Narnia Elementary School?

Since our school requires extensive English learning, each preschooler must take a simple exam to test maturity and short-memory capabilities.  The testing runs on an individual basis, consisting of the child, the parent, and a teacher or special educator.
During the testing, a parent completes a specific “mutual understanding questionnaire” focused on the interests and attitudes of the parents.
The pupil’s test results are the primary factor in enrollment, but the parents’ questionnaire can also play a small role in the consideration, via additional points in a preset system.  The exact formula is always presented to parents directly upon enrollment.

In addition to the test and questionnaire results, preference is given to children attending the Brethren Church as of an establisher of the school, the children of school employees, and siblings of current students at Narnia. The advantage is accrued through an additional 15 points to their total number of potential points.

First grade enrollment usually occurs in January or early February. A copy of the child’s birth certificate and the identification cards of the parents are required for the registration.
